Folks, it’s been public for a while but I haven’t talked about it here on bplusd - I’m speaking at one of the best user experience conferences around: Adaptive Path’s User Experience Week. When I was invited to join the program, I was thrilled - UX Week not only gathers together solid fundamentals, but pushes […]

While the talk is partly about using design games, I really liked Peterme’s summary that my talk was “about designers creating shared references with stakeholders in an effort to communicate the idea. […]

So, co-creation is cool. And there’s a certain kind of valuable market research from criticism. But Chevy’s new Tahoe / Apprentice tie-in might not be the co-creation Nirvana that some poor brand manager imagined. Imagine a Tahoe commercial, where anyone can choose the words that cut between product shots…now imagine if that tool was made […]

This summary article from C.K. Prahalad is a quick introduction to his ideas in his book The Future of Competition.
Beyond b-school thinking on codesign, I need to take the time to compare with Liz Sanders style participatory design, like the things outlined in this paper: Contextmapping: experiences from practice (PDF). Interesting mashup potential here…
