I’m speaking at Adaptive Path’s UX Week
Folks, it’s been public for a while but I haven’t talked about it here on bplusd - I’m speaking at one of the best user experience conferences around: Adaptive Path’s User Experience Week. When I was invited to join the program, I was thrilled - UX Week not only gathers together solid fundamentals, but pushes the boundaries and thinking about design and innovation.
I’m speaking about Smoothing the Way: the Designer as Facilitator, and sharing some of our perspective and tools with attendees. We’ve reached a point in our practice where the biggest barriers (and opportunities) aren’t about new design methods, they are about working with the complex and often competing needs of business stakeholders. My session will share how designers can pivot 180 degrees to focus squarely on the business, and use design skills and mindset to bridge competing viewpoints and generate momentum to move projects forward.
If you’re able to make it, you can save 15% off registration by using the code UXJM when you register. The price goes up at the end of the week, so if you’ve been thinking about attending, now is the time to sign up.
If you’ll be there, drop me a line - it would be great to hang out. You can reach me at jess DOT mcmullin AT nform DOT ca
